Iran's Leader: Use of WMDs, ‘unforgivable sin’

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Tehran considers the use of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, to be an “unforgivable sin.”

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran on Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei stated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the use of nuclear, chemical, and similar weapons to be a great and unforgivable sin.”

The Leader added that the elimination of the catastrophic weapons of mass destruction is an “urgent necessity and a universal demand.”
