‘The Sunday Times’ reports reconnaissance satellites reveal preparations made by the Syrian army to deploy surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles ready to fire at Israel should J’lem conduct another airstrike on the Assad regime.
Syria has surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles aimed at Tel Aviv and is ready to use them should Israel decide to conduct a strike on Damascus, British newspaper The Sunday Times reported on Sunday.
The paper reports that reconnaissance satellites have revealed preparations made by the Syrian army to deploy the missiles, that can each carry half a ton payload.

“Battalions of the Abd al-Qader Martyrs” claimed rocket launches on the Israeli side of Mt. Hermon in honor of Naqba (Disaster) Day – marking the anniversary of Israeli independence. The claim with an attached videotape by an unknown group apparently referred to the first mortar shelling attack from this Syrian border on Wednesday. Its credibility is unclear. Mt. Hermon was closed to visitors after the attack.

Overnight, shots were fired at an IDF patrol on the border in the central Golan Heights, damaging a military vehicle. No injuries were caused.
