Chechnian Militants in Syria Moved to Georgia in Preparation for War on Russia

TEHRAN (FNA)- A large group of Chechnian militants who were fighting against the Syrian government in the last three years have been dispatched to Tbilisi in Georgia to prepare for terrorist operations on Russian territories, sources disclosed on Sunday.

"Some 97 Chechnian fighters arrived in the Turkish city of Istanbul from Amman, the capital city of Jordan, on flight No. 813 at 10:00 am (local time) on May 1 and were then transferred to Tbilisi on flight No. 382," an informed source told FNA on Sunday, adding that the militants arrived in Tbilisi at 16:25 (local time).

"The militants are being deployed in Pankisi valley in Georgia and plan to sneak into the Russian territories," the source continued, adding that the militants are due to stage a series of operations, including hit-and-run and bomb attacks, in different parts of Russia in a bid to disturb security in the country which is now in full confrontation with the West over Ukraine.
