Möglicherweise bald Quds Truppen in Kobani?? Den folgenden Quellen nach besteht innenpolitischer Druck seitens kurdischer Minderheiten zu mehr Engagement und die Aussage der Regierungssprecherin ist, dass man angeblich auf eine Einladung aus Damakus wartet. Wenn diese Einladung tatsächlich kommt, wären die Iraner ganz offziell mit eigenen Truppen mittendrin in Syrien.

The advancement of the Islamic State group (IS) militants on the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani near the Syria-Turkey border has alarmed many Iranian citizens, resulting in protests and even an op-ed by an Iranian news site asking the head of Iran’s Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, to take action.
Protests broke out in several Kurdish cities in western Iran, as well as other cities across country including Tabriz, Mashhad and Tehran itself in front of the Turkish Embassy to express their support for Kobani. Human rights and dissident activists were also in attendance at some of the protests. Iranian Kurdish musicians Shahram Nazeri and Sedigh Tarif have also gone on hunger strike to bring attention to the plight of Kurds in Kobani.

Iran's Foreign Ministry says Tehran is ready to take practical measures in dealing with the ongoing chaotic situation in the northern Syrian city of Kobani if it receives an official request from Damascus.
“Kobani is a part of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and if this government makes a request and asks for any assistance, we are ready to help,” Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
