"Foreign submarine activity" near Stockholm, well inside territorial waters … naval ships (a.o. corvette VISBY), helicopters and several ground units involved in operation to locate and identify possible intruder … intercepted communication on a special radio frequency used only by Russian vessels in emergency situations … Russian commercial tanker noticed circling in a narrow area of Swedish waters … media speculating a Russian submarine may have run into trouble while conducting “reconnaissance” mission to Swedish waters.
