U.S. Air Force eyes future F-35 engine and arms upgrades
Reuters) - The U.S. Air Force is on track to declare Lockheed Martin Corp's F-35 fighter jet ready for initial combat use by August or September 2016, and officials are already looking at possible future upgrades to its weapons, propulsion and avionics……

Pratt & Whitney has retro fit for engine of F-35 Joint Strike Force Fighter jet
The F-35 fighter jet, plagued with more problems and cost over-runs than its predecessor, the beleaguered F-22 Raptor, will be getting a fix for its F-135 engine. In a release out today, it was announced that Pratt & Whitney, an American aerospace giant, is installing a retrofit for the engine of the F-35 Joint Strike Force jet; a fix that should be completed fleet wide by first part of 2016....
