Zitat:Lockheed, Raytheon To Develop Advanced Kill Vehicle Concepts
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Lockheed Martin and Raytheon will develop concepts for a kill vehicle capable of taking out multiple objects simultaneously under study contracts from the U.S. Missile Defense Agency valued at $9.7 million each.
The Multi-Object Kill Vehicle, or MOKV, consists of several miniaturized kill vehicles launched atop a single interceptor. It is considered a long-term technology that would be deployed around 2025 to address a key weakness of current missile defense technology: the inability to distinguish between missile warheads, and decoys and other objects.....

Zitat:Lockheed Martin starts developing a Multi-Object Kill Vehicle missile defense system
Interceptors equipped with a next-generation system that can defeat multiple complex missile threats with just one launch would make U.S. missile defense capabilities even more effective. Lockheed Martin has begun work in Sunnyvale, California, to define the concept for a Multi-Object Kill Vehicle missile defense system for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.....

Return Of The ABL? Missile Defense Agency Works On Laser Drone
HUNTSVILLE, ALA.: Three years after the Missile Defense Agency mothballed its massive Airborne Laser, MDA is planning to reboot the concept for a new era.
The old ABL was Boeing 747 with a human crew and tanks of toxic chemicals to generate power. The new idea a high-altitude, long-endurance drone armed with a more compact electrically powered laser. But the technical and tactical challenge remains the same: building a laser-armed aircraft that can shoot down ballistic missiles at their most vulnerable, just after launch, without having to fly so close it gets shot down itself....

Zitat:Saudi Arabia Requests $5.4 Billion Worth of PAC-3 Missiles
The government of Saudi Arabia has requested several hundred Lockheed Martin Corp.-made Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles and other equipment as part of a potential $5.4 billion deal.
The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency on Wednesday announced the possible foreign military sale after notifying Congress the day before. The State Department has tentatively approved the transaction.
The arrangement calls for supplying the Kingdom with more than 600 PAC-3 missiles, telemetry kits, test targets, computers, launcher modification kits, among other equipment, according to the announcement....
