Mal zwei kritiklose Propaganda-Lobhudeleien auf meine beiden Lieblings-Helikopter der nächsten Generation:

FARA - RAIDER X

Launching drones at high speeds to track and attack enemies on the move, finding pockets of hostile forces amid uneven, mountainous terrain, unloading chain gun fire down upon concentrations of dispersed enemy fighters and bringing suppressive fire in support of advancing infantry are all missions the Army’s new Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft are expected to perform.

The new platform, Army senior leaders tell The National Interest, will bring new dimensions to forward scouting, advanced networking and drone attacks in coming years.

Interessant ist, dass man hier die Zukunft konzeptionell eher so in Richtung des Tiger denkt als in Richtung des Apache.

FLRAA - DEFIANT X

Slicing through the sky faster than 230 knots, sleeking beneath the radar clutter, maneuvering just above buildings and mountainous terrain to deliver infantry into hostile fire for a massive, coordinated attack, are all mission sets planned for the Army’s now fast-emerging Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA).

Streiche Infanterie, setze leichte Panzerjäger / zugleich leichte Raketenartillerie, welche durch die Helis mobil sind und daher gerade eben keine so hohe Reichweite mehr benötigen und ein solcher Verbund aus diesen Helikoptern, leichten Panzerjägern und Loitering Munition wäre für Osteuropa geradezu wie geschaffen.
