In Gaza, they're known as the "new Jews." They're the rich merchants of the Gaza Strip who were the first to flee for their lives after October 7, managed to save themselves and their families, and are continuing to run their businesses safely by remote. While enjoying the good life in Cairo's luxury hotels, they're selling the Strip to the highest bidders. When a kilogram of sugar costs 70 shekels (almost $19) and a liter of gas 150 shekels, it's only natural for the 1.5 million internal refugees in Gaza to add the profiteers to their list of enemies, after Israel and Hamas.

Und es gibt viele Stimmen in Europa, den USA und teilweise auch in Israel, die exakt diesen Parasiten die Macht in Gaza übertragen wollen und damit wird die Hamas alsbald dann noch stärker dort verwurzelt sein als vorher und noch schneller die Macht zurück erlangen.

Das habe ich schon jetzt mehrfach gehört, dass man allen ernstes glaubte, der Angriff würde Israel zum kollabieren bringen. Sollte dem so sein, ist die Führung der Hamas fernab jeder Realität und es ist umso wichtiger sie auszuschalten.

Gantz: 'We will enter Rafah and go back to Khan Yunis'

National Unity chairman Benny Gantz said during a press conference in Sderot on Wednesday that Hamas was militarily defeated following the IDF's operation in Gaza.

"Victory will come step by step. We are on our way to it, and we will not stop. We will enter Rafah. We will return to Khan Yunis. And we will operate in Gaza.

An airstrike in October reportedly killed 14 other members of Haniyeh’s family, including his brother and nephew. His granddaughter Roaa Haniyeh was also reportedly killed by the IDF, as was his oldest grandson, Jamal. In February, Palestinian sources said Haniyeh’s son, Hazem, had also been killed.

Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based news channel aligned with Iran, quoted Palestinian sources as saying the strike had also killed several of Haniyeh’s grandchildren who were in a vehicle in Gaza City’s Al-Shati refugee camp.

Haniyeh later confirmed that three of his sons and three of his grandchildren had been killed in the airstrike.
