TYRE, Lebanon, June 21 - Israeli aircraft Sunday attacked Lebanese areas in the Bent Jbail region near the Israeli frontier in south Lebanon.

The planes carried out two successive raid and fired four air-to-ground missiles.

The Israeli army in a statement claimed the airforce "targeted and destroyed a Hezbollah outpost in the western sector of southern Lebanon".

Ambulances were seen rushing to the site, but a medical source said that the raids did not inflict casualties.
