The Defense Industry Executive Committee also decided to suspend a $93 million payment to Israel Military Industries (IMI), Ramat Hasharon, Israel, because of IMI’s delay in delivering a prototype in the Turk-Israeli program to upgrade Turkey’s M60 main battle tanks, Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul said after the panel’s meeting in Ankara Jan. 19.
