Turkey’s procurement authorities have formally launched bidding for the local manufacture of new-generation main battle tanks, an ambitious program viewed by many analysts with deep caution.
The Undersecretariat for Defense Industries, the country’s procurement agency, has released a request for proposals (RfP) for the National Tank Manufacturing Program that limits bidding to Turkish companies.
