The Right To Political Beliefs And The First Amendment

What prompted me to write this article was an incident, only one of many, that recently occurred in Phoenix, Arizona. Tom Rawles has repeatedly been threatened with physical harm and continues to receive death threats.
What was his crime? At council meetings Rawles refuses to recite or stand during the Pledge of Allegiance as a peaceful protest against the U.S. war in Iraq. (...)
