Russia’s 2024 Naval Priorities: Design Bureaus
Russia’s 2024 defence priority will be naval design bureaus to recreate future Russian naval fleets as a new aircraft carrier is on the horizon.
Russia’s semi-official defence magazine, flot.com, states that, in 2024, more than 80 shipbuilding design bureaus will design the Russian fleet. “Our immediate plans are to improve the operation of the communications system, increase the effectiveness of the use of modern means of reconnaissance, target designation and counter-battery warfare, as well as the capabilities of air defence and satellite constellation,” Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a conference call with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces.
