TEHRAN, March 23 (MNA) – Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said on Friday that certain Arab countries, Israel, and the United States are behind deadly bomb blasts in Syria.
“The U.S., the Zionist regime and the reactionary Arabs support blasts and killings of innocent people in Syria,” Khatami, the leader of this week’s Friday prayers, told worshippers in Tehran.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are among the most ardent supporters of insurgents in Syria which have pushed the country to the brink of civil war.

“The Saudi government brutally suppresses its opponents and kills innocent people in Bahrain and brutally attacks universities but recalls its ambassador from Syria,” the ayatollah commented.
