Also ich glaube, dass das M16 nicht von der regulären Armee, sondern nur von den Spezieleinheiten eingesetzt wird.

Die Armee verwendet überwiegend G3 und AK47. Dabei wird verutlich in den nächsten Jahren vermehrt das Khaibar eingeführt.

IRAN PLACES NATANZ UNDER AAM UMBRELLA

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has deployed a network of anti-aircraft batteries around its declared uranium enrichment plant.

At least 10 surface-to-air missile batteries were seen around the uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, located about 250 kilometers south of Teheran. The batteries were seen during a tour by journalists of Natanz, the first conducted by Iran's government.

Officials said the Soviet-origin anti-aircraft batteries were meant to protect Natanz from an Israeli or U.S. air attack. The Bushehr nuclear reactor complex has also been ringed by surface-to-air missiles.

IRAN SEEKS DEFENSE TIES WITH SAUDIS


NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran continues to seek defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

Iranian officials said Teheran has been wooing Saudi Arabia to purchase weapons and defense equipment from Iran. They said Iran has also offered Riyad joint industrial projects and research and development.

Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani has been meeting Saudi officials and diplomats to discuss defense and military relations. Shamkhani has sought Saudi cooperation as part of an Iranian regional security effort that would exclude the United States. The two countries have signed a security cooperation accord.

Shamkhani said he envisioned Saudi Arabia playing a major role in regional security. He said Iran has sought close defense cooperation with Riyad, but did not elaborate.

Also da der Iran keine Invasions Pläne hat finde ich die Armee der Iraner sehr gut aufgebaut sie wollen ja sich schlisslich nur *verteidigen* also die sachen die der Iran besitz sind nicht so modern aber nicht schlecht! und die Armee entwickelt sich ja ständig weiter, du musst ja auch bedenke dass der Iran unter waffenembargo steht! sonst hätten die Iraner heute alles vom feisten sag ich mal so, Iran war immer sehr extrem reich und heute noch hat sich auch was kaum geändern aber wozu gibt es schwazmarkt da kriegt man ja auch alles vom feisten:evil:

Was Saddam betrifft er war sehr unfähig das Land zu regieren geschweigeden zu führen und es entwickeln, der hat sich einfach viel zu oft von den Amis im 80er manipulieren lassen, und heute ist das Land zusammen mit vielen reichtümern an Amis gegangen.
